--- 2nd Nov, 2009, welcome the first vessel call of MCC (APM group)

--- 16th Oct, 2009, first vessel call of CMA-CGM at SPCT to mark the operational  opening of this modern container terminal

--- January 2008, Ho Chi Minh City officially put the Soai  Rap channel into operations after dredging for more than  one year. In order to commemorate this important event,  SPCT celebrated the ceremony on 9th January, 2008

--- September 2007, construction works underway

--- June 2007, main construction contract awarded to TOA  Corporation of Japan

--- July 2006, preliminary earthworks commenced

--- June 2006, Ground Breaking Ceremony attended by His  Royal Highness The Duke of York, Mr. Robert Gordon  - UK Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Deborah Clarke -  UK Consul General, Mr. Nguyen Van Dua - Vice  Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee,  Mr. Vo Van Kiet - ex-Prime Minister, Sultan Ahmed  Bin Sulayem - Chairman of Dubai World, Mr. Jamal  Majid Bin Thaniah - Chief Executive Officer of Dubai  World

--- December 2005, Joint Venture Agreement signed  between Tan Thuan IPC - DP World to create Saigon  Premier Container Terminal (SPCT)

--- 4th September , 2011, SPCT becomes 37th DP World facility to earn ISO 28000 Supply Chain Security Certification.
