HOW TO REACH SPCT FROM DIFFERENT CATCHMENT AREAS

         ROAD CONNECTION 

  • Inside Hiep Phuoc IP, the new 6 lanes road 2.2km connected North South  Highway with SPCT in July 2010
  • New highway Hochiminh city – Trung Luong with max speed to 100km/h  and Can Tho bridge from May 2010 connected Mekong Delta with SPCT in  short distance, and saved up to 3hours or more for cargo from Mekong  Delta and give chances for containers reached to other end of previous the  Can Tho ferry station.
  • In addition, Phu My bridge connected container movement between  Northern catchment areas of Ho Chi Minh City and SPCT since Apr 2010  besides ICD connection by barge.

        BARGING CONNECTION 

- Extensive barge network through city

- SPCT has contracted 3 major barge operators to provide  sufficient self propelled barge capacity to serve SPCT and northern  catchment area.

- Connection for containers is well planned by NAVIS SPARCS N4  terminal operating system with real-time update information.

- Direct container transfer from barge to vessel via quay if  required.

- Guaranteed berth priority and crane access at ICD’s and SPCT.

Bien Hoa : 40km, 5 hrs steaming to SPCT

1. SOTRANS ICD

Sotrans ICD officially put into operation in early 2010. Port has convenient location, high-tech lines to ensure customer needs.

2. TANAMEXCO ICD

ICD Tanamexco  have granted operation permit since 2004, and  subsidiary of Tanamexco Co.,  with total area close to 12,5ha, including : Container yard, Wharft, CFS Warehouse and Bonded Warehouse. 

Located right on the road arteries of this area, next to the Saigon River, near the main Port and industrial parks, export processing zone of Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau. ICD Tanamexco help to bring convenience to customers in of road and waterway.

3. PHUC LONG ICD

 

Phuc Long ICD -Port has been established and come into operation since 2005. Located right on the road arteries of this area, next to the Saigon River, near the main Port and industrial parks, export processing zone of Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau. ICD Phuc Long help to bring convenience to customers in of road and waterway.

4. TRANSIMEXCO ICD

Location of ICD Transimex is conveniently and modern facilities, providing a full range of customers’ requirements, the ability of CY to 500,000 TEU/year, customer service is very good with more preferential policies customers. 5. PHUOC LONG 3 ICD

Phuoc Long ICD Port (PIP) was founded and officially started operation in 1995.Thanks to valuable support from customers, PIP since then has proved its own preeminence. Owing to convenient location, hi-tech industrial line, complete services to meet the needs of container transshipment, loading & discharging from Shipping lines, Import-Export companies, trading and service companies, having won customers' trust, enabling PIP to achieve continuous and stable growth. 6. TAN THUAN PORT

  • SPCT is the favored terminal for shipping reefer products,  targeting  the Mekong Delta catchment area and is located in the  center of the cold store cluster.
  • SPCT is located in the center of a growing cold store cluster with  Lotte Sea Logistics (40,000sqm) and Anpha AG (20,000 sqm)  operational in 4th quarter 2009 and other projects will be carried  out soon including Swire Cold Storage (20,000sqm), Hung  Vuong Corp. (40,000sqm).

Goverment Support

The economy of Vietnam has recorded the 2nd highest growth  rate in East Asia in recent years. GDP growth has been in excess  of 7% over the last 5 years and the economic outlook is very  bright. Container volumes have also grown at a rate of 15-20%  during the same period. Vietnam's entry to the WTO is further  expected to boost trade volumes. Vietnam has a stable  government system and enjoys positive demographics which only  serves to underline its attractiveness as a place to invest.

Ho Chi Minh City, the economic center of Vietnam, is currently  served by various ports along the Saigon River, most of which are  identified for progressive closure over the next 10 to 15 years  under the Government's master plan. SPCT therefore plays a key  part in the Government's master plan and aims to provide a world  class gateway for Vietnam's trade with the world.
