DP World - Saigon Premier Container Terminal Sets New Productivity Record Delivering 108 Berth Moves Per Hour
DP World’s Saigon Premier Container Terminal (SPCT) in Vietnam achieved a new productivity benchmark recently when its Panamax cranes hit a record 108 berth moves per hour while servicing the MSC Alice.

A concerted team effort and the port’s signature operational efficiencies ensured that 3,740 TEUs were handled in 21 working hours, beating previous productivity benchmarks

The new record – set during the 242m MSC Alice’s maiden call – reaffirms SPCT’s leading position as the region’s most efficient marine terminal operator, with a focus on constantly improving quay crane rates which deliver direct benefits to customers in terms of time and cost saved.

SPCT welcomed RoRo vessel SUNSHINE ACE

On 21 January 2015, Saigon Premier Container Terminal (SPCT) welcomed the RoRo vessel SUNSHINE ACE V.038A that is owned by Mitsui O.S.K Lines (MOL) with overall length of 200 meter. She arrived on 21 January and departed on during the day with the rotation from India. Mr. Nguyen Le Chon Tam – Deputy General Director of SPCT welcomed Capt. Sandip Kumar and Capt. Pensak Vimonitaya with the vessel crew on site.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam / Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 20, 2014: In another landmark  vent, the biggest ever vessel to call at the DP World operated Saigon Premier Container terminal (SPCT) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, arrived this week.
 
The NYK owned Northern Genius, with a nominal TEU (twenty foot equivalent container unit) capacity of 4300 and dwt of 54,000 sailed up the 54 kms new Soai Rap River channel following its opening earlier this year.

Dp World Marks Important Milestone In Vietnam With First Vessel To Sail New Channel To Its Saigon Terminal

Opens New Opportunities For Vietnam

Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam/ Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 21 April 2014:- In a significant milestone, DP World has welcomed the very first vessel to navigate the new channel on the Soai Rap River to its Saigon Premier Container Terminal (SPCT) in Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam.
The MSC vessel Xutra Bhum, with a nominal TEU (twenty foot equivalent container unit) capacity of 2378 and dwt of 30,832, sailed up the 54km long channel to a special ceremony to mark the historic occasion.

Officials attending the welcome included Hồ Chí Minh City Department of Transport Director Tat Thanh Cang (on the right), Boris Cohen, MSC Vietnam General Manager (first on the left), William Khoury, CEO SPCT (second from left), MSC Xutra Bhum Captain Thanomgern Wasuwit (third from left), and IPC General Director Phan Xuan Binh (fifth from left) .

Cận cảnh tàu biển vào TP.HCM qua luồng mới
(PLO) - Đầu giờ chiều 19-4, chiếc tàu tải trọng 31.000 tấn của hãng tàu biển quốc tế MSC đã cập cảng Container trung tâm Sài Gòn (SPCT, ở Nhà Bè, TP.HCM) thành công thông qua luồng Soài Rạp.

Đây là chiếc tàu biển tải trọng lớn lần đầu tiên lưu thông thành công trên luồng Soài Rạp.
